Latest update from Amaryllis:

October will be a busy month...

Why?

Because October 14th is the day that my kidney transplant is scheduled!!! Praise Jesus Hallelujah!!!

I want to thank each and every one of you that have supported me through prayers, encouragement and donations in such an uncertain time. I especially want to thank my donor. I will forever be thankful for your giant sacrifice and obedience to God and for considering me to receive such a huge blessing. You are giving me the opportunity to live a longer, healthier life here on Earth with my family. I pray that God blesses you and your family immensely both in Spirit and in Health. You deserve every blessing that God has in store for you!

Please everyone, keep us in your prayers! Please pray that God guides the doctors to perform a successful surgery and also pray quick recovery for each of us.

I will keep everyone posted if anything changes...but it looks like this might be my last medical update until AFTER I receive my new kidney. Praise God 🙌🙌🙌

Meet Amaryllis

Amaryllis Ordonez is a mom of four, a grandmother of two, a devoted pre-k teacher, and a woman whose faith and joy light up every room. In 2024, she was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease — a hereditary condition that causes the kidneys to fail over time.

Her kidney function has now reached a critical low, and she will most likely begin dialysis soon. Her doctors have made it clear: the only path forward is a living kidney transplant.

Amaryllis is holding on to hope, to her family, and to her faith. She and her husband George are trusting God’s timing — and asking for your help. Click the button to see if you are a match or read more about donation in the next section.

What does it mean to be a living donor?

Becoming a kidney donor is one of the most selfless gifts a person can give — and for Amaryllis, it could mean more time with her children, grandchildren, husband, and the life she loves.

If you’re 18 or older and in generally good health, you may qualify to be a living donor. You’ll begin with a secure, confidential health survey. If you’re a good fit, the transplant team will guide you through the full evaluation — including lab work, scans, and a conversation with a social worker to ensure you feel supported physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

This journey is not one we take lightly. Amaryllis and her family are praying for the person who will say yes — and we believe God will lead the right one to her.

Frequently Asked Questions

“If you have ever seen me out in public, there's probably one thing that you will always notice. I am almost always wearing a shirt that promotes my faith in God. I may not be the loudest, or the flashiest, or the most boisterous person in the world, but I do not hide from my faith. I am not one to preach to you, but please know, I live for God in everything I do. My message today would be for everyone to keep strong in your faith, because sometimes that might be all you have left to make it through the day.”
